Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 2016 After installing the ECOsmarte Municipal Point-of-Entry Water System, we couldn't be more pleased with the results. The difference in the feel of the water was noticed immediately in the shower. When we vacation, we are reminded again how wonderful the water is in our own home. Knowing that harmul additives are being filtered out gives us great peace of mind, especially when you consider that our skin is our body's largest organ. Besides the benefit of bathing in "filtered spring water," the fact that we no longer buy bottled water for consumption is, not only a savings, but a huge daily benefit as well. Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, 2016 We had the Ecosmarte Point of Entry Water Treatment System installed into our home on December 7, 2015. Our water comes from the Inver Grove Heights Municipal Water Treatment System. Prio to having the Ecosmarte system installed, our water was very hard - Inver Grove Heights water has a hardness factor of 20-22 grains per gallon. We were not using a water softener at the time of install and had not had one in our home for quite a few years because of so many problems with it and hated hauling salt all the time. Wondering what our water was like? Horrible!!! I was constantly cleaning shower doors, faucets, emptying build up from the aerators, etc. Struggling to get rid of the hard water spots and chiseling calcium deposits off of everything! Skin was always dry and constantly loaded on lotions and oils. Freshly laundered clothes never seemed clean. If a glass was filled with water from the faucet, stuff would settle on the bottom, it had an odor and bad taste. We only drank filtered water from the refridgerator or bottled water. Our two miniature pinchers would never drink our tap water either. If I cleaned their dish out and filled it up with water from the faucet, they would smell it and look up at me and walk away. But, since our Ecosmarte Point of Entry Water Treatment System was installed, our water changed! First thing we noticed was no more itchy skin. (I rarely use lotion anymore and it's winter!) Next, all of the hard water spots and calcium deposits easily wiped away after spraying with vinegar and rinsing with water. They are no longer a problem. Clothes are cleaner. Water tastes great and has no odor. Most surprising is that our dogs will drink the water right from the tap! We are very happy with the system!!! One of the main reasons we got the home system is that we have had an ECOsmarte system on our hot tub since we got it. We love that there is no chlorine or chemicals. home is. I was spending $60.00 a month on Downey alone, just to try and hide the sulfur smell. Starting August 9th, we had to really watch how much laundry soap to use because on August 10th
(my 44th birthday) my daughter, Adrian, and I had a "luey" moment with the washing machine. I put
the usual amount of liquid laundry soap in the washer and we found the lid up on the washer from
the soap suds pushing it up. There were bubbles all over the utility room. It was a joy to clean that
up; no more hard water, no more sulfur smells and no more lime deposits and I use our Whirlpool
tub almost everyday now. Needless to say; we don't use very much soap anymore on anything. I
wouldn't take $10,000.00 for our ECOsmarte water system. We sold the farm and moved to a community this past winter. Love the house, but couldn't stand the water. Our morning coffee was horrible! No one could stand the taste of the water out of the faucet. After spending our adult lives living in the “suburbs” with all it entailed (well, septic, & multistep water conditioning systems), we were so pleased to retire to a city with its convenient water & sewer system. We have a residence in Edina Minnesota and had a Reverse Osmoses system installed there by ECOsmarte. We found the water in Scottsdale very heavy with a chlorine smell and taste. I was working household projects with my hands and after a week, had irritated and chapped skin from what appeared to be chlorine burns. We have had the ECOmarte Point of Entry system installed now for 2 weeks and the conditioned water is superior to the pre conditioned water. It tastes better and my hands have cleared up completely. Sincerely Nancy Grigerich Long Island, NY May 7, 2004 ORCHARD PRAIRIE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO 123 7626 N Orchard Prairie Road Spokane, WA 99217 On behalf of this school district I want to express our sincere thanks for the time and effort you put forth in resolving a problem that had defied solution for more than 20 years. Against all odds, you proved that there was an American made system that could reduce the nitrate levels in our drinking water to a safe level for patrons of all ages. Throughout the years out drinking water contained nitrate levels which ranged from about 24.0 mg/l to as high as 37.0 mg/l, levels which far exceeded the standard established for pregnant women and infants. These readings required that we do quarterly testing and that bottled water be provided for our staff and students. During the summer of 2003 you advised that for less than $600.00 you could provide a unit made by ECOsmarte which would be guaranteed to reduce these levels below the trigger of 10.0 mg/l. Although we encountered numerous problems/changes in this unit before installation was completed during the last days of December 2003, the unit did, and is, working as promised. My records of test results, both before and after installation, are as follows: DATE OF TEST RESULTS 11-6-03 27.4 11-13-03 28.7 12-23-03 26.8 01-08-04 4.3 01-22-04 4.5 03-11-04 4.5 05-04-04 4.3 It must be stated that the unit did not perform as promised on the initial start-up but we determined that the hardness of our water was more than 50% greater that the unit was designed for. The installation of the brine tank solved this problem and a resin back-wash cycle was set for three days, resulting in the 01-08-04 reading of 4.3 mg/l. I quickly determined that our salt consumption was excessive and we agreed that I would change the cycle to six days and the 05-04-04 reading was only 4.3 mg/l. This unit has been observed by Virginia (Ginny) Darrel, PE, Regional Engineer for the Division of Drinking Water for the Washington State Department of Health, Spokane Region. Ginny seemed to be very impressed with the unit and did her own testing with the results being 2.1 mg/l just after the Spokane Regional Health District reading of 4.2 mg/l. We are now in the process of stabilizing our free chlorine levels and when this is complete we will cancel our bottled water contract. This cancellation will result in a pay-back of less than 4 years for this unit. Again, thank you for the time and effort you spent on our problems and our unit is always available to you for inspection by any future customers experiencing a nitrate problem. In consideration for this we are providing a few pictures of our facility and water exhibits for your web site. Also I have included a few short lines about my experience to date with the Ecosmarte system as compared to my past experience with Baquasil and chlorine treatment systems. I have attached several pictures for you selection. The Boot Conveyor picture shows three water exhibits that utilize the same water source. The Ecosmarte system for this water source is housed beneath the Water Tower that is visible in the upper left of the picture. I did not include a picture of this Eco system. The CC Building picture is an outside look at the multimillion dollar Clay Center Complex, home to the Avampato Discover Museum, and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. The Water Fall picture shows the Ecosmarte system that handles our indoor laminar water fall. The squiggly lines down the right side of the picture are actually part of the waterfall itself. The TriLam Arch picture shows two additional laminar water flow exhibits. The one on the left is jumping streams controlled by visitors pressing buttons on an interface panel. The right side of the picture shows the continuous streams which support spinning balls that visitors place in the stream. The center of the picture is the door to the water control area shown in the last picture, TriLamArch ECOsmarte. This shows the ECOsmarte system supporting these two water exhibits. My name is Rod Copen and I am a technician for the Avampato Discovery Museum in Charleston West Virginia. We are part of the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. I am responsible for a host of interactive exhibits, including computer based audio visual exhibits, animatronics, light optics and several water based exhibits. These were all part of an installation performed by COSI Studio. For the water exhibits COSI chose to use ECOsmarte treatment systems in conjunction with cartridge filtration. While my water treatment background is somewhat limited, I have had some experience with both chlorine based and Baquasil based water treatment systems. Based on that experience I find the Ecosmarte system, using copper ion generation, much easier to use. As a matter of fact, I consider it an almost “set it and forget it” kind of system. And although I have only been using it for about a year, I believe it will prove to be far less expensive than the other systems I am familiar with. 2002 POE and POOL Dear ECOsmarte, I want to thank you for inventing such a great product. We recently moved to Arizona only to discover that the water here is loaded with chlorine and a highly toxic substance to which I'm highly sensitive. We also discovered that the amount of calcium in the water causes white scaling on every dish , glass, sink, shower and toilet. Since we had your system installed, I can actually do laundry that smells clean as opposed to smelling like I just dumped it in a swimming pool. I sleep on sheets that not make me coffee for 3 days plus we don't have a white film on everything in the kitchen and bathroom. I can't even express what a difference your product has made. April 17th, 2002Dear Sir,I want to tell you how much I like the ECOsmarte system. I had no trouble installing the unit my self, took only 2 hours. When I got all the untreated water out of all the pipes and water heater, the water tasted like the well water I had in Ohio - just good clean fresh water. After a month of service I had a party and had twenty people to come and sample some fine tasting clean water. I love the water now, couldn't drink it before. The coffee is now so good that I drink it all day long. Couldn't stand it before, this is the finest improvements to my house - Thank you so much. Harmon C. Hunt
