Above Ground Pool Help
Q) Hello, We are in the process
of replacing our above-ground pool. It will either be 21 or 24 feet round, 52
inches high (48 for typical water line).
Do you have a system that would be appropriate for this kind of pool? How much
would such a system cost? Can we install it ourselves, or do you need to?
It looks like there are cartridges/rods that need to be
replaced on these systems. How often does that need to happen, and how much do
they cost?

A) The pool you are purchasing will be between 15000 and 18000 gallons and will require our turbo system for $1995, good from 10,000 to 50,000 gallons. The key to many years of trouble-free, chemical free water is to make sure you buy it with a minimum 200lb(20inch) sand filter, ideally a 300lb (24inch) and I would strongly recommend our glass media for the filter with a top mount, multiport valve. Our system is incompatible with cartridge filters as with the ECOsmarte oxygen and copper system, no longer will the particles be vaporized by the chemical and the paper pleats require way too much maintenance. Unfortunately many of the pools come with cartridges which require not only the maintenance but replacement at least every 1 1/2 years. If a sand filter option exists, make sure it is not either a 16 or 18 inch and that the multiport valve for complete vacuuming control of your pool is present. A top mount is best for install and maintenance.
