I would like to tell you how please we are with the performance of our Ecosmarte well water point of entry system.   Prior to installing the system we were using a iron removal system on our irrigation and a reverse osmosis system for our drinking water.  We were also experiencing flow problems with our faucets and shower heads due to mineral buildup.  John from Ecosmarte told us about the benefits of the system and we had our water tested.  This is not a simple water test; it is sent to the National Testing Laboratories and tested for 150 items.  The most significant result was that our water contained Arsenic in addition to high Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Chloride and Sulfate.  The water was also very hard.  We elected to install as larger system to handle our whole house plus a large irrigation system.  Ecosmarte, at no additional cost, provided an additional filtration tank to remove the Arsenic.  Once the system was installed we had to make a few adjustments in our approach to our clean techniques, primarily not using chorine based products such as toilet bowl clearer and dishwasher rinse agents.   When we first installed the system we elected to keep the reverse osmosis in place for our drinking water, but after 8 months we removed as it was not necessary. The system provides bottled  quality drinking water at all our faucets thru out the house.  All this is done without the need to do any maintenance the system or haul bags of salt to a softener.

At the same time we installed a Ecosmarte  pool  system for our in ground pool to eliminate the need for chemicals.  After one season I can say we enjoyed a full season of a clear pool without the need for chorine or salt.

Hello! My name is Erika Quezada. I am writing to you to let you know how much we love my Ecosmarte pool filtration system! The water is so pure you can feel it. My husband, two kids and I live in beautiful sunny Florida and on very humid and hot summer days the water just feels light and refreshing which I attribute to the lack of chemicals floating in the water. pool water feels as if you are swimming in a natural spring. Theres no harsh chemicals to worry about, which is a must with my little ones eczema and my dry skin. I live in Alaska and have an indoor, vinyl lined swimming pool and tile hot tub. I chose the Ecosmarte fully automated system for my pool and hot tub. Both systems were brought on line summer 2006 and have performed far better than I imagined. My partner and I live in El Paso County.   The water is ok but nothing compared to the water from the Purity Bay water filtration system we purchased from your company.  I have bottled water straight from my sink.  No more having to buy bottles which not only pollute our planet but cost a lot of money.  Also no more carrying those heavy and bulky 5 gallon containers to put on the water cooler which is a quite difficult task might I add.

Not only am I drinking pure clean good tasting water but at the same time I am saving a lot of shelf space in the fridge and pantry from having to store bottled water and the 5 gallon containers (I had 6 of them).  The fact that the water is super clean it allows me to rinse all my fruits and vegetables straight of the sink making every dollar that I spend on organic veggies worth it.

Everyone that has come into my kitchen has been served delicious water from my sink and has loved it!  I couldn’t be happier with the Reverse Osmosis in my kitchen.

We are also enjoying the water everywhere else in the home.  Our product consumption has been greatly reduced due to the fact that we no longer need to use so much shampoo, conditioner, etc.  One small drop the size of a dime will do.  I have really long hair, so another savings here.

My French bulldog has skin allergies and we have to use special shampoo which is rather expensive and I’ve noticed the consumption here has been drastically reduced as well.

We are really happy with this financial investment we made.   It’s one of those investments that will last you a lifetime and those are rare.

Aside from purchasing the Purity Bay water filter system we also purchased the Ecosmarte system for both our hot tub and swim spa and boy let me tell you, if I thought the Purity Bay filter was the best investment ever this completely doubles that.  It is like swimming in bottled water.  It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life.   I no longer have to be adding endless amounts of chlorine, shock, water clear etc.  Actually I don’t have to add nothing at all.  Just like that the water stays SUPER clean and NO chemical smells what so ever. We are getting ready to close our pool for another season. It is truly amazing how far we have come. Ecosmarte has helped us maintain our pool more effectively than Baquacil or Chlorine. it has worked around the nitrates in our rural well water and your knowledgable staff has resolved our issues with an undersized filter and mismatched pump.

Even after an unfortunate incident which ruined our last filter, you saved the day again! (Proving that our 18 x 36 pool could run efficiently and effectively with our old 200 pound filter with Ecosmartes glass beads and our 1 1/2 horse 1 speed pump.) After 30+ years of adding chlorine, acid, shock and other chemicals to my pool, I decided to redo the pool and all the equipment. This made me think of how I could make caring for the pool easier and less toxic. Storing the chemicals was a big issue to me. After research I thought a salt pool would be the way to go. My wife pointed out how the salt water might not be good for her plants around the pool. Further research made me aware of ECOsmarte’s no chemical system. This really appealed to me. It solved my chemical issues and automated the process to work hand in hand with the new efficient pool equipment.

We have found the water to be much more pleasant to be in and with an almost soft feeling to the skin. In any case when the grandkids have their swim parties they love the water.

The settings on the microcontroller are set and only need to be adjusted as the seasons change if you’re not lucky enough to be located in the San Francisco Bay area.

The basic maintenance is refilling the CO2 canister periodically for pH control and testing the pool water once a week to be sure all is OK.

My Ecosmarte Sytem has been used for the last 5 years and I love it. Swimming in crystal clear, chemical free water is something that most don't expeirence and once you do there is no going back to a chemical pool. The only maintenance required on a weekly basis is maintaining the PH which I do with Ecosmarte's CO2 kit and the regular cleaning on the pool surfaces. All very easy if you do the maintenance yourself. The system is great for my wife and me and my kids love it.

We got a fiberglass pool put in this summer and our friend suggested we try the ECOsmarte system as she loved hers. We liked the idea, so we had our installer put it in. We are so extremely happy with the system. We started the pool with a little chlorine like it said and then started the ECOsmarte system. Never had to worry about the water chemistry! Water was perfectly crystal clear all summer. We flicked a switch once a day for 8 hours and that was it! Anyone getting a pool or have a pool should think about getting the ECOsmarte system! I used to have a salt water system and it was OK until the cell went bad and then later I found out how corrosive the salt water had been to my pool. So I turned to ECOsmarte and never looked back!

We have our system for over 5 years and love the chlorine free water. There are times when I needed assistance and the guys at ECOsmarte have been great and solved all the problems over the phone. I installed the system and had problems balancing the water to what they recommend.  It took me four months to get the water clear and it was just when the pool was getting cold. The ph tends to always go too high and I have to add acid. I got a bunch of green algae that was hard to get rid of. Overall I love not using chlorine or salt.  I am crossing my fingers for next year.  I think I finally got the hang of it.

I have had my ECOsmarte unit for about 4 years. For the most part it has been relatively easy to maintain. I will have to admit that every time I had trouble with the pool there was a reading out of balance due to my own neglect. It had actually been so easy to maintain that I had forgot about it. The people at ECOsmarte knew exactly what to do and as soon as I brought the pool's Calcium and alkalinity levels up toward the numbers they recommended, the entire pool's water turned completely crystal clear.  I recommend this system and believe that the small amount of normal chemicals like Calcium and Baking Soda are well worth the effort to be able to swim in a chlorine-free pool.

We've had the ECOsmarte system for four years. I do like it as it is so easy to maintain and our water has been crystal clear the whole time. However, we have had issues with copper getting too high  (we disconnected the copper bars) and some staining (mildew) in the deep end. Mildew is not an Ecosmarte problem, but I don't know why our copper would get so high.  I do like it way better than the alternative, though.

I bargained with my husband for 3 years before he finally gave in and we got an ECOsmarte system for our 20 year old, 16x32 in-ground pool.  I went from spending 300./year for chemicals down to less than 50 this past season.  And, when you swim you never feel sticky anymore when you get out of the pool.  Better for us, and better for the environment.  Also, I only needed to run it 8-12 hours/day, instead of 24, which I used to have to do during heat waves in the past.  It even stayed balanced and pristine during a terrible heat wave we had for 2 weeks early this summer.

Downside: having to 'bathe' the ECOsmarte tube to clean off the oxidation that accumulates on the copper bars.  But, once I figured that piece out, it wasn't so hard after the first time.

So, if you are thinking about it, I highly recommend it.  The cost is up there, but the system takes most of the work out of maintaining the pool for the entire season.  Far worth it, in my opinion.  With the savings from reduced need for chemicals and reduced electricity since we don't need to run the pool filter as long, I figure we'll make our money back within 5 years, and now I'm happy to go near/in the pool--it's fun once again. Plus, I think it's adding more years of service to our original liner.  Another financial plus.

The hardest part of my ECOsmarte system was getting the pool company to put in a sand filter. The first year I had a small algae problem but customer assistance led me through the steps to get back on track. I have had mine now for four years I think and now am considering the whole-house and spa systems as well. I am glad we found ECOsmarte before we installed salt. I bought it even before I had a pool.

I maintained my parent's pool for nearly 20 years.  They used chlorine for about half of that time, and Baquacil for the other half.  When they moved, and I installed a new pool at my home, I wanted a system that would require much less maintenance.  My installer recommended ECOsmarte.  This is our 6th year, and we are thrilled with ECOsmarte.  I adjust the Calcium hardness and pH when I open the pool in the spring, then press Ionize and wait until the copper level is correct.  That's it.  About once a month we vacuum and check the copper level.  Once in a while we brush the sides, and throw in some non-chlorine shock.  The pool stays cleaner longer, and with much less effort on our part.  And the water doesn't smell like chemicals.  I had to replace the copper electrodes one time, and it took 5 minutes and a screwdriver.

We could not be more pleased with the ECOsmarte system.

I put in the basic ECOsmarte system two years ago which includes the copper and titanium plates in a tube with a control box. I adjust the pH manually. Overall I am very pleased that we have crystal clear water. There have been some issues when I let the pH get too high or do not put enough copper into the water. The system I have does require manual testing and adjusting but as I am retired I enjoyed playing with the pool. I would recommend the automated system for anyone who does not want to be that hands on. The other downside is my gray hair is turning a bit green from the copper. I consider that a small price to pay to be free of chlorine and other chemicals that we used to use to treat the water.

We have had our ECOsmarte system for our in-ground swim spa for about 5 years and nothing could be easier for low maintenance crystal clear water. I just occasionally add acid to the pool to adjust the PH and manually flip the control from oxidize to ionize when the copper level is at .5 ppm. We live in the desert in Arizona, and have built our own Eco-friendly, self sufficient homestead. In addition to city water, we collect rain water, and have 7,000 gallons of storage tank capacity. We plan to use our ECOsmarte system to treat the stored rain water as well as the pool. At some point in the future water scarcity could become an issue. So in addition to the stored rain water, having a pool with water so pure and chemical-free, that is like bottled water, makes me feel secure. It is like having an emergency water savings account. I would not hesitate using my pool water for household use. It is that pure!

I have just finished my first year with my ECOsmarte system.  I live in the jungle in Mexico with almost 100 inches of rainfall in the summer months.  

Yes, using the ECOsmart system in this climate has been a learning experience but I would still choose this ionization approach over chlorine or salt.  People who choose an ECOsmarte system need to understand that they have to LEARN their system and how it works in their particular climate and conditions.  It is NOT (as is any swimming pool system) for the person who thinks they can attend to the pool only when it is convenient for them.  It is not for the inattentive.

This all being said, the trade offs are worth it:  NO Chlorine and its horrible effects!  And, that is what I  want -- a healthy option for swimming.  I want a pool that I can swim in and not have the skin and hair reactions associated to a chlorine system because I swim every day.

Do your research and make the choice best for you.  For me it is ECOsmarte.

I have an endless pool swim spa. Normally it requires daily addition of a cup of bleach to control algae growth. That is easy -  except that I am often away for extended periods and have no one to tend to the pool while I am away. My last absence was for over three months. When I rolled back the cover I had a clear view of the pool bottom, the pH was still correct, and I could immediately go for a swim. I have had an ECOsmarte swimming pool for 5 years now.  I live in Houston TX so the water gets pretty warm and algae is a typical problem for most chlorine/salt pools.  I have never had an algae outbreak.  The testing is simple and easy.  I had the fully automated system with CO2 injection.  I test weekly during the warm months and forget about it over the winter.  My dog drinks the pool water instead of her water bowl, and my kids don't smell like chlorine.  We love it.

In Las Vegas we have very hard water.  My pool is 27 months old and I have never needed to clean up the wall where my waterfall splashes on my stone wall.  There are no hard water spots on my stone even after many cannon balls because the hard water is now soft water. My copper bars did get used up quicker then expected and I will probably replace them in the spring.  In the summer I use 1 cup of acid/day because of the evaporation water replacement.  In  the winter I use about 1/2 cup/day.  My wife is very sensitive to clorine pools and ECOsmarte is the best option.

Even after all of the research we did on the copper system, I was still skeptical. After being blown away by the lack of attention and amount of chemicals I've had to put in the pool this summer, I was still waiting for our big test... 2 weeks away from the pool without a pool cleaning or backwash. We just came back from that vacation... we did as suggested and ran the copper up and the ph down before going. Our cat sitter cleaned the skimmers occasionally and backwashed once. I have to say I thought the water was clear before switching, but now it is completely transparent and you can see every single small flaw in the liner. If you ever have someone in Mobile that's on the fence on whether or not to get the glass or the ECOsmarte system you are welcome to send them to me for an inspection and recommendation.

Terry, I wanted to let you how happy I am with my new Ecosmarte system. I have had it now just over a month and I could not be any happier. The water is clearer now that it has ever been, my summer-long battles with algae is over, the water feels great, all with very little work on my part. 49 Days Above 90°

Our ionizer was installed June 22, 2010, and since that time we have had clear water all summer. A first for us since our pool was built in 2001. Not one single episode of algae! We have had 49 days of above 90 degree weather with lots of rain! No red eyes or burning! We are VERY happy!

We have had our ecosmarte system for two summers now and it has been great. Messing with the chlorine shock was always a guessing game for me and was dangerous and complicated. The ecosmarte system is extremely easy to manage and the pool stays beautiful all the time. We want to thank you for installing the ECOsmarte system and filter for our pool. You installed it for us a few weeks ago, and we are very happy with the quality of our pool water. The water looks great and feels even better. We are amazed at how efficiently the ECOsmarte system is working.

Sometimes we practice and test out scuba gear in our pool. When we moved into our house last May, the pool used chlorine and a cartridge type filter. Even though the filter was almost new, whenever we went underwater wearing a scuba mask there were all kinds of particles floating in the water. We know that cartridge filters only get worse with age, so we were quite concerned that the water just wasn’t very clean.

Our pool is primarily used for exercise, and we spend a lot of time in the water. As a nutrition professional and fitness trainer, I am very conscious of what I expose my body to. The skin is the largest organ of the body and some of what you put on it, will eventually end up in it. So chlorine in the pool was a major problem!

Chlorine is a dangerous chemical; it’s dangerous to make, dangerous to transport, dangerous to store, and is certainly dangerous to consume or soak in, especially when it is warm as it so often is here in Las Vegas. Sometimes I’d go for a swim, take a shower, and hours later still smell the chlorine on my skin. I’d walk past the laundry bin and smell chlorine on our towels and swim suits too. This was simply unacceptable. Swimming is terrific exercise, but I didn’t feel that it was healthy to be exercising in toxic chemicals.

Before purchasing the ECOsmarte system, we considered several alternatives to chlorination, but we’re pleased that we had the ECOsmarte system installed. We haven’t had any problems with it and it is easy to use. The pool water is now crystal clear and when we get out of the pool there is no dry chemical residue left on our skin and we no longer feel that we need to immediately shower to get rid of the chlorine smell. We also like not having to haul gallon jugs of chlorine home from the pool store and it’s great not having to worry about storing toxic chemicals away from children and pets.

The ECOsmarte system really frees us up to just enjoy the pool. We very much appreciate the work you did for us. Thanks!

It is a priority of mine to go natural, we use no toxic chemicals for cleaning, all organic fertilizers, no pesticides, etc. Finding safer products to use is always a treat. I looked up your system when we first put up our pool in 2005.

I wanted the system when we opened the pool, but my husband wasn't willing to spend the money. I can't deal with chlorine, so following the pool stores instructions had us spending more than we would have on this unit anyway and what a hassle!!!! They had us buying so many different products to keep up the pool, mind boggling and time consuming.

We ordered our copper system in 2007. This is just too easy, I have it down to a science now. Its a breeze to maintain and my water is crystal clear, no smell, no worry about soaking in chemicals or having the grandkids playing in the pool half the day...which they do! We must be one of the very few to have such a system around here, most have never heard of it, but we are spreading the word. Bragging, really.

My husband knows this was a good purchase, we're proud of our pool and the commitment to not pollute the environment. I even feel good about those backflushes, which I'm not doing nearly as often as before with a chemical pool. I used to feel irresponsible running the chemical laden pool water over the lawn. Now I'm just watering!

As it is now almost four months since you installed the ECOsmarte system at Topsham Pool, and we are nearly at the end of our season, I thought now is a good time to update you on our progress so far.

We are delighted with the result. The water is really crystal clear and a joy to swim in and is just like swimming in bottled water - no more complaints of stinging eyes or costumes losing their colour. In fact we have not had a single complaint about the pool water this year.

As you know, we are a privately owned 25 x 10 metre pool open to the general public. Since you installed Eco Smarte we have had approximately 35,000 swimmers to the pool and it is amazing the number of people that have commented on the quality of the water. The most asked question is "How do you manage to keep your pool water so good?" One couple told me that they had travelled all over the world and had never had a swim in pool water so good.

At our busiest time, on a good sunny day when the pool is crowded all day, the water quality stays the same. We don't have the cloudy effect after a heavy bathing load that we used to get when dosing with chlorine.

I would just add that all the committee are more than pleased with the results of ECO Smarte it was money very well spent. I would have no hesitation in recommending ECO Smarte in any future installations.

We have had our pool for about 14 years. All that time using chlorine for purification. Over the years the chlorine started affecting my wife in difficult ways - hair - skin - clothes. She quit using the pool.
In mid June of '08 we elected to change our system to ECOsmarte. It took some time to get the system regulated, but after about 5 weeks the water got regulated to spec's.
The water is wonderful, soft and clear. As you can see by the picture enclosed.
My wife is back in the pool, loving every minute of it. She is doing her exercises, which she needs to do daily, after complete right hip replacement Dec. 2007. Three months later she had a complete right shoulder replacement.
We love the water, enjoy the pool every day possible. I'm glad our pool builder suggested the system. One of these days I will get a referral.

You have helped us so much over the last year to try and get our Doughboy above ground pool to work with your ECOsmarte product. Well, I just have to say the reason you haven't heard from us is things are going great! We opened our pool using the experimental glass pack you gave to us towards the end of the season. Our pool is easy! We only shocked it when we opened it! Otherwise, we keep our ph around 6.8, calcium around 400, copper between .3 and .7 and add 2-4 oz. of Algaecide 60 once a week. We do have to say, that our PSI still doesn't go over 2 above the starting point…we just backwash once a week. Also, it'll get slightly cloudy from time to time but we feel it starts getting low on calcium. Well, we just wanted to say thanks for everything!

I'm anxious to open my pool with ECOsmarte. This will be my third summer using your system. The system was purchased April 2006.

I'm amazed more people are not using your product. The first season, I wasn't too happy with it, but found out it was my equipment that wasn't working properly.
