| Q: |
What is the life of consumable parts on the turbo 2? What is the replacement cost of these parts? |
| A: | The only consumable items are the copper plates which have a 3 to 5 year life and cost $125 including the titanium bolts and connectors. A Phillips screwdriver allows for simple, unskilled change out. An indoor or southern pool will last three years, outdoor northern climate pools will typically last 5 years if proper calcium levels are maintained in the pool. The titanium anodes and the control box itself have lasted the thirteen year history of Ecosmarte and contain a five year non-prorated warranty including the cell itself. The pool only needs to circulate 8 to 10 hours as with chlorine, and our box draws less than 1 amp DC as compared to AC amperage draw with salt or ozone systems. |
