| Q: |
We currently have a DE filter - does that work OK as well? Also, how expensive are the copper consumables to replace, and at what interval? |
| A: | A DE filter works great (36 to 48sq ft min with a 1 HP pump maximum), soak the grids annually. The copper bars require replacement in northern states every four to five years at a cost of $125. In southern states it is every two to three years and the chamber needs a five minute vinegar or acid diluted with water soak three times per year instead of the twice yearly in the north.. The chamber itself has a five year non-prorated warranty including the platinum oxygen plates which are the technology advantage with Ecosmarte (aside from the money back guarantee and toll free support.) |
